March 10, 2015 McConnell & Jones LLP (McConnell & Jones) and Walker & Co., LLP (Walker & Co.) have announced the formation of a strategic alliance and shared collaboration designed to enhance the CPA firms’ service offerings in common markets. The association of the two organizations is a result of long standing relationships among partners who want to emphasize the strength of their professional capabilities in the governmental, nonprofit, and employee benefit plan audit practice niches as well as the tax services and business consulting disciplines.
The coalition between McConnell & Jones and Walker & Co draws upon the combined strengths of each company and has created a positive working environment designed to foster the sharing of best practices, technical expertise, and referral networks. Together, the firms promote team synergies and provide opportunity for their collective staffs to flourish professionally and for clients to reap the rewards of a strong business alliance.
McConnell & Jones has offices throughout, Texas as well as Washington DC and is considered one of the largest public accounting firms in Houston. Leveraging an established back office infrastructure and operational processes, McConnell & Jones will assume responsibility for human resources, technology and accounting functions for the alliance with the expectation of increasing efficiencies.
Walker & Co. provides the coalition with more than three decades of experience working in the Washington DC market and offers a platform to further build the reputation of both firms as top quality service providers to clients in and around the Capital City. Walker & Co.’s Managing Partner, Ron Walker, will serve as the Partner-in-Charge for the DC offices, where he will continue to work with his existing clients while helping the McConnell & Jones team emphasize a personal connection in the DC area.
