McConnell & Jones LLP is proud to announce the addition of a new audit supervisor to the Washington D.C. office; Charles Reaves.
Reaves, a CPA candidate, joined the firm in early April and offers more than 20 years of experience related to the accounting and finance industry. His background includes performing financial analysis work with the United States Department of State-Office of the Legal Advisor and assurance work with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) within the United States Department of Defense, where he was awarded the Director’s Coin of Excellence for Outstanding Performance.
“We are very excited to have Charles join the firm,” said Managing Partner Wayne McConnell. “I am confident that his technical knowledge and leadership skills will help position our D.C. office for continued growth.”
Reaves is a graduate of Howard University, where he received his Bachelors’ in finance, and the University of Michigan, where he received his MBA in corporate finance. He is an active member of the Washington D.C. community and the accounting industry. He currently serves as the government affairs chairperson and a board member of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the National Black MBA Association and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as a CPA candidate.
