Leading CPA Association Taps Houston Assurance Practice Leader for National Role
PrimeGlobal, a leading global association of independent accounting and business advisory firms, has named McConnell Jones assurance partner in charge Eric Ernest to its North American Region Advisory Board. In this role, Ernest will collaborate with other North American Advisory Board members and PrimeGlobal North American Executive Director Maureen Dillmore on the formulation and development of PrimeGlobal’s strategy and provide guidance to the executive director in assessing and delivering on member firm needs in a rapidly evolving industry of public accounting.
“McConnell Jones is a relatively new member of PrimeGlobal, and I’m flattered to have been asked to join the Advisory Board,” said Ernest, who leads the firm’s audit and benefit plan audit practices. “After attending some of the regional meetings, I discovered that many firms were experiencing similar challenges as we, given our remarkable growth in the past few years. I look forward to the collaboration for the benefit of all member firms,” he added.
McConnell Jones has been named one of the fastest growing CPA firms in the country in 2022 and in 2021 and managing partner Wayne McConnell has been named one of the top ten managing partners in the country by Accounting Today.

Ernest has been with McConnell Jones for more than 20 years and has been a partner in the firm for the past nine. In addition to his passion for public accounting, Eric is a jazz enthusiast, an epicure, and a sophophile. His wife and dog live in Southwest Houston.
