McConnell & Jones (MJ) is proud to be recognized as a COVID-19 Work Safe Company by the Greater Houston Partnership (the Partnership).
As part of the City of Houston’s recent “Stay Home – Work Safe” Order, the the Partnership as identified 10 core principles for exempt companies to follow during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the safety of employees while continuing onsite operations.
MJ is classified as an essential business whose work is considered necessary in the compliance of legally mandated activities that further essential businesses and government functions. Being an essential business, MJ has committed to the Work Safe component of the order and will continue operations in a manner that protects the health of employees and the community which includes following the Partnerships 10 principals:
- Allow all but critical one site employees to work from home.
- Employ video technology
- Create a safe work environment for all critical onsite employees
- Require sick workers to stay home
- Review PTO policies to encourage wellness
- Encourage proper hygiene
- Create alternative teams
- Restrict onsite access
- Discontinue work travel and require reporting of personal travel
- Establish anonymous reporting
